New Queensland templates for Bylaws & Constitutions

In March, District Secretary-Elect Sam Dyer issued an email to all clubs with templates to update your club bylaws and constitution. Please ensure you action these and have the changes lodged with the Office of Fair Trading prior to 30th June. This is vital due to legislative changes and new regulations with the Australian Taxation Office.

Northern Territory based templates are currently being developed and will be issued in due course.

Club Insurance Declarations

District Insurance Officer Col Craig has emailed all clubs with the link to complete the Annual Insurance Declaration Form.

This form must be completed by Friday, 10 April 2026.

It is essential that every club carefully reviews the information provided and submits the insurance declaration to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage. The declaration includes details such as property assets, anticipated travel, youth activities, and similar matters.

Col sent this email on Saturday, 28 March. Please ensure this is actioned as a matter of priority.

Attention President-Elect

Were you unable to attend the President‑Elect Learning Seminar in person? The training resources have now been made available, and you can complete the program online via the district’s new Moodle platform.

A significant amount of work has gone into redeveloping the PELS training from the ground up this year. All incoming presidents are strongly encouraged to complete the training—even if you are a current president continuing for another term.

There is still two more PELS training to be done in person, these are being held in Darwin & Timor-Leste. If you are able to attend these locations, please register via the try booking link below.

District Changeover

District Governor‑Elect Rita Zappulla is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Cairns Sunrise, where she made history as the club’s first female President. To mark a very special milestone, DGE Rita has chosen to combine her club’s 35th Anniversary celebration with the District Changeover.

Tickets are $80 per person, which includes a two‑course buffet lunch.

As part of the event, $5 from every ticket will be donated to The Rotary Foundation’s PolioPlus program as a World’s Greatest Meal fundraiser—helping Rotary continue the fight to end polio.
